Tumuaki Talk and End of End-of-Year Reminders:
Kia Ora Whanau
We fly into week 9 and now have 9 school days remaining. We have a lot on so ensure you keep up to date with everything that is happening by checking our calendar, reminders on the left of this page and a rundown of the final two weeks for 2023 below.
Board Election:
Thank you to all six parents who were nominated for Board roles. We value the support. Congratulations to Tim, Sophie and Madelyn who join the BOT. Their first job is to employ a new principal. I wish them all the very best.
Thank You
As shared above, a huge thank you to Gobblers (Tracey and Deb) who donated lunch on two occasions last week. We value the support and loved the food.
We also want to say a huge thank you to Mike and the team at Cathedral Cove Kayak Tours for taking our Year 8s on another awesome expedition. The children, along with Chris and I launched off Cooks, headed North and spent time at Lonely Bay. This was another awesome trip, and having a new place to go, where a lot of the children hadn't ventured to was great.
Reports
On Monday next week, we will be sending home end-of-year reports. Ensure that you focus on the positive, and celebrate the amazing year your child/ren has had. Each child is different, and we must celebrate all of their successes no matter how big or small.
The children I am most proud of this year are not those who are top-achieving learners; but rather those who overcome hurdles in life and learning, and still show resilience and development.
