Term 1 Week 2 12.2.24 - 16.2.24
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings Parents and Caregivers,
I'd like to start by thanking everyone for their warm welcome. I feel blessed to be able to work with an amazing team here at Whenuakite School. We have made a great start to the school term with all classroom program's up and running. It has been lovely wandering through the classrooms and watching our talented teachers teach and our wonderful students learn.
News!
When you come into the office this year you will see that we now have a digital sign in tablet at the front desk. We request that if you are on school grounds after 9.00am and before 3.00pm, the first thing you do is use the tablet to sign in. If your child is arriving at school after 9.ooam or leaving early we also request that you (or the child) sign themselves in or out as appropriate.
Parents, Caregivers and Staff BBQ this Thursday!
It is with pleasure that I'd like to invite you to join us at school this Thursday 15th February from 3.15pm - 4.15pm. We will be putting on a BBQ (Sausages in Bread) for a snack and the school swimming pool will be open for parents to supervise their own children.

School Policies
Our school works with SchoolDocs to maintain, update, and review our policies. SchoolDocs provides us with a comprehensive core set of policies, which have been well researched and align with the National Education and Learning Priorities. The policies and procedures are tailored to our school, and we supply specific information such as our charter, and procedures for behaviour management, reporting to parents, etc.
SchoolDocs updates, modifies, or creates policies in response to changes in legislation or Ministry guidelines, significant events, reviews/requests from schools, and regular reviewing from the SchoolDocs team. Our school board has the opportunity to view changes/additions and comment on them before they are implemented. We will advise you when policies are up for review and how you can take part in the review.
We invite you to visit the site at https://whenuakite.schooldocs.co.nz (note that there's no "www."). Our username is "whenuakite" and password "whenschool".
