LOUD SHIRT Day
Today we celebrated "LOUD SHIRT DAY" - This was a fundraiser for the Deaf House
Loud Shirt Day is the boldest, brightest, most feel-good fundraiser across Australia and New Zealand – and it’s all for a seriously good cause. Each year, workplaces, schools, families and friends throw on their loudest shirts to raise funds and awareness for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Funds raised help provide life-changing services like speech therapy, audiology, early intervention and family support – giving kids with hearing loss the tools they need to thrive.
Loud Shirt Day is proudly coordinated and celebrated by First Voice member centres across Australia and New Zealand.
Camp
Room 6 and 7 go to camp at Lakewood Lodge from November 10th - 14th of November. The new cost at the moment, after fundraising in term 3, is about $375. Maths Quiz
2025 Whenukite School Maths Quiz – Online Fundraiser
Our Maths Quiz is giving students a fun and rewarding opportunity to build their numeracy skills, while also raising essential funds to support Education Outside the Classroom programme – trips and camps!
How will this fundraiser work? We have partnered with online fundraising company Go Raise It. Collecting sponsorship online makes it super easy for everyone - no more door knocking, your child can collect more donations from further afield (friends & family living overseas, work colleagues etc) and no need to worry about handling cash!
How do I sign my child up to fundraise online? Each child can sign up for their very own fundraising web page to send out to collect online sponsorship from anyone, anywhere! Just go to our Fundraising Hub page at: https://whenuakitemathsquiz.raiseit.co.nz/ Or use the QR Code to visit the hub page:
Prizes: We have a great range of fundraising prizes available, including spot prizes and overall fundraising prizes for classes/individuals. Please see the Prizes page linked on the Fundraising Hub page of our fundraising website.
Event Details: The Maths Quiz event will be on Wednesday, 29th of October 2025 from 11.30am - 1pm! Yes a whole 90 minutes of fun!. The aim is to make it fun and enjoyable for all students, and we will practice the questions prior to the event. On the day, each class will have sets of questions, puzzles and games to do. It will be about giving everything a go! We are happy for parents to come in and we will have our Special Maths Wizards _ invited guests and some senior students helping with the activities and events.
Rooms 1 – 5 are fundraising as a group to help cover costs for the day trips and events.
Rooms 6 - 7 will be fundraising individually for their camp to Lakewood Lodge and what they raise will come off their camp costs first. If students fundraise more than what is needed, this will be used to help cover costs involved with trips and camps. Our AIM is to try get all students to camp!
Kindest regards, Mr Veysi, Whenuakite team and Fundraiser Organiser
